    • Byd electric car reliability issues and customer complaints in China IN SHORT BYD electric cars face serious safety concerns with Blade Battery fires, structural integrity issues like premature rusting, and airbag failures during accidents, alongside poor customer service handling complaints.  Key reliability issues and customer complaints Blade Battery incidents: BYD HAN EVs faced multiple fire incidents in China, raising serious safety concerns. The Blade Battery, exclusive to BYD HAN, came under scrutiny after these events, questioning the safety claims of BYD's flagship electric vehicle. These incidents not only challenged consumer trust in BYD but also in the broader electric vehicle safety standards, emphasizing the need for rigorous testing and quality assurance. Structural integrity concerns: Extensive rust found in structural areas of BYD 803 during underbody deconstruction for EV conversion exposed significant challenges to vehicle integrity. Rust in crash-critical zones compromises safety, necessitating comprehensive anti-corrosion strategies. This premature rusting questions the electric vehicle's longevity and maintenance quality, severely impacting brand trust. Airbag and safety system failures: Reports of BYD vehicles involved in accidents where airbags failed to deploy, including a tragic incident involving a BYD Han crash where 6 airbags remained undeployed, have raised alarms about the deployment conditions and reliability of safety systems in BYD cars. These incidents undermine consumer confidence and highlight critical areas for improvement in vehicle safety protocols. Customer service and post-purchase support: BYD, along with Hong Chi, has faced significant criticism for poor customer service, with viral videos showcasing staff cursing and dismissing customer inquiries. This poor handling of customer complaints and critical incidents, including fatal fires, raises serious operational concerns and threatens the brand's reputation, especially when contrasted with its patriotic marketing efforts. Fuel system issues in hybrids: Despite the focus on electric vehicles, BYD's hybrid line, particularly the BYD Song Plus hybrid, has encountered significant reliability issues in China, primarily related to the fuel system. This contrasts with the electric vehicles' performance, showcasing a need for BYD to address these hybrid-specific issues to maintain consumer trust across its product range. Market and regulatory challenges EU investigation and trade concerns: The launch of an EU investigation in response to China's electric vehicle subsidies, which are seen as distorting the European market, highlights the international scrutiny BYD and other Chinese EV makers face. This investigation aims to protect local industry and addresses significant European concern over Chinese state support for the EV sector. Quality control and transparency challenges: Numerous spontaneous combustion incidents and the discovery of structural flaws reveal critical safety and engineering flaws in Chinese EVs, underscoring challenges in quality control and transparency. These incidents guide consumer caution in electric vehicle adoption and highlight the need for BYD to prioritize quality control and address these issues proactively.
    • No.... Connecting from the main house...  I might tackle some of the outlets and the switches.. I'm not sure but I think I'm required to have a GFCI outlet as well so I'm not entirely sure how the wiring goes for those and connecting other outlets downstream
