I also had one a couple weeks ago when I was trying to actually sign on to PayPal... It asked for my email which I thought was unusual, I put that in.... Then it asked for my phone number and I also put that in. And they said they would call me for security reasons. I guess it was a spoof email page. But they did call me... some Indian, So I thought it was legit.
They had me typing in links to supposedly file a dispute for my charge..... And then an EXE., file appeared But I didn't open it. I basically told the guy to go eff himself And I didn't trust anyone and I would be canceling my PayPal account.... He hung up on me.
I looked up PayPal's actual phone number and I called them and everything was fine with my account.
I bought a new laptop that night.... And have been checking all my accounts credit card etc. and everything seems to be okay..... These fukers should have their heads cut off.
