Yeah and she's not taking into account that many of the assisted living facilities simply aren't that nice so even people who can afford it don't want to sell. Add to it the expanding need for memory care of one or more of the couple and then its really hard to find nice places.
We have no idea the shitstorm coming for the need for memory care units. I went thru it with my mom a few years ago and the wait list on nice places (the few there are) will blow you away.
Scary part is Hospice said the most common people with the need for early in life memory care are professionals. Doctors, Professors and what not and they are the most stubborn to admit they need it.
