It looks like a May heat wave is on the way for Minnesota

Meteorologist Sven Sundgaard is in with the latest on cooler temps today and tomorrow, though still above normal for this time of year, before a May heat wave kicks in this weekend. We could potentially see temps reach into the 90s for the first time this year.
Cooler today and tomorrow but still above normal
Only an isolated thunder chance late Friday for rainfall
80s return Friday and stick around into next week
A May heat wave could push temps to 90 and keep things dry
Signs that the pattern shifts finally late next week?

BMTN Note: Weather events in isolation can't always be pinned on climate change, but the broader trend of increasingly severe weather and record-breaking extremes seen in Minnesota and across the globe can be attributed directly to the rapidly warming climate caused by human activity. The IPCC has warned that Earth is "firmly on track toward an unlivable world," and says greenhouse gas emissions must be halved by 2030 in order to limit warming to 1.5C, which would prevent the most catastrophic effects on humankind.
