Really not aware of what's available for the different Mauser bolt action rifles regarding stocks and what not and if the video of the person on the roof running right after the shot is the shooter he definitely didn't break it down there. Guns are made to tight tolerances so they "can" be broken down and not change their sighted in accuracy much but it varies. The right gunsmith can take an average rifle and can make it significantly more accurate. (for example floating barrel.)
General bolt action hunting rifles don't break down that easily.
The last two attempts on Trump's life were by amateurs.....my guess this kid is at most a hunter or disgruntled former/current military.
