Those with schizoaffective disorder can often have fast changing moods. Similar to bipolar. It can present with persecutory ideology. They often present as weird or odd. The paranoid type has less features of a changing mood/affect unless the psychosis is really raging. Their main symptom is that they are being persecuted or threatened. Extremely psychotic, often times experiencing delusions or hallucinations. They can be extremely intelligent or dumb as a box of rocks. Those that are very intelligent may be hired as projected excellent employees or win scholarships. But as soon as the symptoms appear they can no longer function in that role. They’ll quit, be fired, or drop out.
