no one doing anything about it is how we've reached $37T in the first place. in that statement I'll include the f'ng boomers and our generation. interestingly, there are actually young people concerned about the problem so imo your blanket statement isn't completely true. they're currently powerless to do much about it, which is something I anticipate Musk might actually tap into. when Perot ran for president the first I was 22 years old and nearly every one of my friends voted for him because he actually seemed concerned about the future of the country as well as debt and deficits, the one we'd be inheriting and ultimately paying for. since then... spend, spend, spend and more spending with no plans to pay for said spending.
in addition... think of this, our debt service for 2025 is about on par with the entire proposed 2026 Pentagon budget...
