You are so pathetic in your desire to play poor victim to the Chinese. There hasn’t been an American CEO to not know how china was producing these products. The US military contractors were also aware. There was an opportunity to exclude the Chinese from supply chains years ago, but that didn’t happen. Defense contractors, US auto companies, US electronic companies all signed agreements with the Chinese. Why…because of budget constraints and bottom line considerations. Had the Chinese not considered using rare earths as a trade weapon, all the companies mentioned would’ve been happy to keep consuming Chinese products. Please stop with the sanctimonious blah blah. The US is complicit with all of this.
