Well,
I'm stirring the pot and taking some heat on a couple track FB pages.
Couple tracks are dropping a class due to low car counts, one of which sits in the shop here.
So one thing I'm catching heat over is not racing the local tracks.
Many many commenters are suggesting that they replace the dropped class with a different class.
My opinion is the only thing you do by adding classes or creating some mutant class is dilute your pool of racers and/or corner them into a class they can only race at 1 or 2 tracks.
What difference does it make if you have 4 classes with 80 drivers paying the back gate or 8 classes with 80 drivers paying the back gate?
I'd rather watch 4 classes with good car counts then 6-7-8 classes with mediocre car counts.
Snowmobile racing suffers the same thing.
My opinion isn't going over well and I don't really care.
