Anything that breaks down will leave you stranded.
Ran a broken def injector for probably 1500 miles on a 6.7. Wouldnt shut it down to 5 mph but would limit boost to like 4 psi of boost. Found that rolling along and if I noticed it would build boost I could turn the key off at 70 mph for a split second and turn it back on and it would be back to full power. Eventually took It in and fixed under the extremely long emission warranty.
My 6.7 work Cummins lost the v band around 70k miles and most of the rather unburnt fuel injected for a regen was blowing out in the engine compartment in massive smoke show it was fixed.
Coworkers 6.7 Cummins clubbed his cp4 while tuned at 80k and under recall and warranty. He was tuned and deleted since new and he had to pay 5 figures out of pocket to get his vehicle up running. Ram would have to sell him an all new exhaust to even tune a cp3 recall truck. Ram wouldnโt touch it for recall or warranty being tuned and deleted.
