correct, but there's plenty of Gen-X'ers (my age group) who have no idea they're going to fucked over with reduced benefits and likely changes to the programs.
there's also plenty of people who haven't paid much in over the years taking full advantage of it, especially on the Medicare side of the equation.
initially in the past few years they've been saying 2035 was the year benefit reductions were likely but according to this article and due to the big stupid bill they're now looking at 2032.
