That is pretty nuts for a generator to have that kind of maintenance requirement, being it's a generator and should be built to run extremely long periods and at a constant rpm and durability/longevity should be the #1 design feature. 25 hours is one day, imagine using your new generator for one day during a power outage and needing to stop it and adjust valves the day after you first ever fired it? My motocross race bike can go 3 times that or more without needing any adjustment and that's a super lightweight high revving quick revving race engine not a freaking generator!
