I've often wondered how they get some of those vehicles back out.
On the last trip I followed a set of tracks that wandered around the hard pack trail for about seven miles. When I finally caught up to the vehicle, they were trying to turn onto a forest road with about three feet of fresh. I stopped and told they guy that he'd better figure out how to turn around and simply go back if he could. The dude started to argue that it wouldn't work so he was going to try the forest road. I try to be a nice guy but that dude was on his own after that discussion.
The area is fairly isolated too. No phone service and the next village was just a couple small shops. No active logging around. I think the next town with anything is another 25 miles. In that area, it's the groomers or one heck of a long wait.
