Donald Trump is still not happy that his tariffs were struck down by the Supreme Court, and he said Tuesday that he would โrememberโ the companies that donโt seek refunds.
The president spoke to CNBCโs Squawk Box over the phone in a morning interview, and anchor Andrew Ross Sorkin asked him about large companies, such as Apple and Amazon, that havenโt sought tariff reimbursements because they were worried about โoffendingโ the president.
โWould you find it offensive for them to try to collect a refund?โ Sorkin asked Trump.
โI think itโs brilliant if they donโt do that. I actually think if they donโt do that, they got to know me very well. Iโm very honored by what you just said. If they donโt do that, Iโll remember them,โ Trump said, before going off on a tangent about the Supreme Court and birthright citizenship.
