Government policy certainly does affect inflation, and inflation is a huge factor for the government, theres a reason why they try to keep it under control. Printing money effects your dollar, which effects purchasing power, which when weaker causes imports to be more expensive, its simple economics.
If you look at inflation for key items in the past 6 years, many many items are up 80-100%, bread, eggs, milk, fruits, vegetables. A bags of milk was under $4 for years and years, now its $6.50 ish. Eggs, bread all up huge since 2020.
the xcr i bought brand new in 2022 850 polaris was $17,500, the same indy style with a 850 (non turbo) is $24,000.
