Not me...wife likes it as a hedge and liquidity. She did that yesterday, albeit with a very small percentage of our investments.
Thankfully Trump, Carney, have no direct hand on interest rates.
They can however, affect them with policy in a roundabout way.
Trump thinks he should have the ability to change them by decree, or just fire the guy who has the nations best long term stability in mind.
Mind boggling naive.
With inflation mostly under control I suggest it's time to find an interest rate at a point people don't spend more than they can make, and nobody gets rich on the backs of borrowers.
I'd suggest between %5 and %8. That would cool many markets, for a few years at least. Let the dust settle.
