Nascar just don't have it as far as myself. Prior to the gen 7 you had teams changing front geometry and changing rear geometry by literally heating the rear housing with a torch and cooling it with water and a wrag to cool it quickly to change to the chamber. Teams were actually beating the sheet metal or grinding body skirts to pass inspection.
Now there's none of that. It's all single source parts and the teams hands are tied. Chassis and body of every car it the same exceptfor the decals.
The Chassis is 3 main components. Front clip, center section and rear clip all single source and the same. To put something back into the teams hands they should have 2 different geometry options for front and rear clips for the teams to work with.
With the gen 6 car the teams had different cars for speedway, intermediate and short track with different geometry. Opening 2 different geometry clips puts some options back into the teams hands
