The Prinoth that I am talking about has rubber cleats instead of the metal tracks like yours. We got the rubber because of the railbed. We gave up a bit of traction for a smoother ride on the rails. Traction was never an issue on the flat railbed.
The first time I drove the demo I couldn't keep it going straight. And I was on the railbed. I kept over correcting, lol. Once I got used to it I didn't want to go back to the Tucker. The Mercedes diesel was much smoother and quieter than the Cummins in the Tucker. The Husky was just built much better.
A Tucker is better in twisty mountain terrain. It pulls a full drag around corners on twisty uphills that a twin tracked machine just can't do. Parts are also easier to source. A lot can be found at the local parts store.
