Lucky for us, we can all easily look around and at history for what socialism brings us. Or, we can just ignore it and even pretend all those models were done wrong? Yeah.
Now, I do somewhat agree that if you are young and starting out, you'd better get to it and get to it soon. Fucking around while you "find yourself" or even worse, blame others for your own problems in getting started is gonna be costly....quicker than ever.
That being said, it doesn't take much to succeed in most orgs now because of the shit attitudes and minimalist work ethic that has been ushered in by poor parenting and a western societal collapse brought on by liberalizm. I can use my daughter for an example. She's flying through the ranks and tax brackets and still feels she hasn't really even given her best. I'm unsure of how to feel about it. She's good but, is it because so many now are just shit people with shit ethics??
