There was a never better time to be alive. My state never shut down much of anything. But it kept at least a third of the population out of the public that were scared and elderly. I flew a lot in those years and I took a flight in a 737 with me a one other passenger and 5 crew. Maui was awesome during Covid as well. Probably the best time to Go to hawaii. Travelling into severe scared/legislated state was even better. Essentials like me got free rein of the roads and and restaurants.
I miss those times badly as I sit on a full plane on my way to Kona with the wife and step kids for the weekend. Plane is packed, airport lounge was full at SeaTac and gobs of people in my way. I wish a cough or a sneeze would make people scatter like it did during Covid times.
