I’m sure you’re well aware of this but many do not have that kind of money in savings/retirement it’s actually less than 10% of the population and a majority of those that do are boomers. Another fun fact 50% of Americans do not have even $1000 in savings.
I work at a shop I’m not talking about premiums I’m talking about deductibles that need to be paid for repairs completed. This particularly guy had a $250 deductible and wanted to finance it if that isn’t a sign the economy is failing I don’t know what is. He isn’t the first one to ask either the only other time I seen so many people asking to finance a deductible or leaving their car done until they had money from the next check was the housing collapse era.
Something more in line with your field of expertise early retirement withdrawals are at record highs so do you think people generally do that if they’re doing fantastic?
Everything I’m seeing is showing people struggling and a failing economy for everyone besides the upper class.
