Something seems a little off with what's being reported. If I'm reading the ships info correctly it has 4 LM 2500 gas turbine engines 2 for propulsion & 2 for power, the ship can be navigated manually in the steering gear room. Buttttt there is so much electronic and computer controlled systems if the ships systems can't talk to each other things won't work correctly or at all, something took a major shit in theses systems for the ship to be without power for 4 days. I find it difficult to believe a United States Ship was left a drift in the ocean for 4 days.
Side note for those looking to blame Trump that ship was built in the early 90's and has been overhauled several time and is at the end of its life expectancy for a naval war ship. Not much different than a lot of modern ships, cars, trucks and anything else that depends on computers and electronics to keep it operating, one simple glitch in the system can shut everything down.
