Yeah...we are approaching problematic times for sure. Once some "belt sinching" has been done and operational standards rewritten, if costs are still prohibitive, we're gonna start seeing empty shelves (See; covidian toilet paper days).
Like I said, short term...ok, and we should all be used to the occasional gouging by now, but longevity of this must be limited. If we don't start seeing some easing at the pumps real soon, we're gonna be in trouble no so easy to fix quickly.
