If only we had governments in the past that could see the necessity to build pipelines to feed not only the globe, but ourselves.
There is the reality that Alberta oil can be refined, easily to diesel, the lifeblood of an economy.
Your domestic oil can not.
We can not possibly refine, nor use this oil to its maximum potential, not even close.
You generate natural gas at a rate you can’t use all of. We need natural gas.
It puts us in a position to trade these products and abilities.
Even as we have a “trade war”, we continue to trade these products for the betterment of North America.
Small, incremental changes in that trade would be beneficial to both of us, the citizens included.
Sweeping changes by decree does not achieve our combined goal of energy independence and low cost.
The bull in the China shop approach is the problem, but when an administration has only a couple years it’s the seemingly only option.
