@X2700 - I put on a quick 35'ish miles, running from the Staehli Park area up towards County 5 and then looped over towards County 15 and down through Wohlers and up County 2. Then took the left to head back towards Lake City and ran the ditch to my buddy's place on County 9. It was damn near perfect - the LC (or Bellechester?) club groomed and I was the first tracks on it ... riding the ribbon!!!
I left my buddy's place and decided to try the "old route" down through the quarry and along County 9 to Lake City ... glad I did, just for the fact it proved it can be done. I ran the trail to the point of where it's closed, and then ran the ditch to the grade school & over towards the pool ... then the road around the dog kennel to connect back on the trail where it intersects with Hwy 63.
Thought I'd share that with you in case you wanted to come into town that way for a gas stop, or at least an easier route into town vs. the roundabout way.
