I had a “79 Monza that I bought cheap. It had a shit stain 3.2 Buick v6 with a rod knock. I was able to source a used Buick V6, stage 2 long block from a former race team. Kenne-Bell sourced some pistons and a cam for street use. Buick was getting ready to dump their race program and stage 2’s were going cheap. John Menard later assumed the tooling for the stage 2 which he used to build those wild turbo Buicks run at Indy. I later sold the Monza to a guy from Durand WI to get money for school. I’ve tried to find it after school, lost track of it. Fun little car.
