To each their own ...I used to like drag racing too but got bored of it.
I prefer a balanced car.
Believe it or not those cars I spoke of really didn't need a whole lot of work besides brakes . And they were a whole lot easier to work on than today's cars. Went through a couple starters, changed a water pump, put on some hooker headers and exhaust parts. But I really had no engine issues to speak of. I had a speed shop do the modifications on the 400. That type of work I I would not do.
And today, despite having my own lift in my garage, I'm just losing interest on working on cars. Brakes are about the extent I would do anymore ...I'd rather just pay and have someone else do it cuz usually I always end up either snapping a bolt or something goes wrong. I just don't have the need to deal with it anymore.
Hell I finally changed the oil in the Escalade yesterday after buying the oil and filter over two weeks ago. I didn't even feel like doing that But I don't trust these quick oil change places.
