Basically GM propaganda. It’s obvious that the issue ran much deeper. The L87’s installed after GM supposedly corrected the defects are still failing in large numbers. GM tried to previously “fix” the issue by changing customer’s oil with the band aid of a higher viscosity oil. I don’t believe anything this company prints on this subject. From all estimates this is an engineering issue. Also, other crankshafts in GM motors come out of Mexico and they have no issues.
