New Model S’s are too expensive to qualify for the tax credit. Sedans need to have an MSRP of $55,000 or less to get the tax credit. SUV/pickups qualify if they are $80,000 msrp or less. Model S has never qualified for the federal tax credit as it is the in the inflation reduction act.
