Let's me help the Canadians understand our freedoms of press work via historical precedent. The US court system has repeatedly established that the federal government cannot restrict journalists access to public press areas based on the content of their reporting or their viewpoints (which is being done now). This isn't the first time Trump's attempted to do this. During his first term, the White House tried to revoke the passes of Jim Acosta (CNN). And guess what, federal judges ordered their press passes restored, citing violations of due process and freedom of the press.
But roosting, how could a judge do that?
