I wouldn't call any of that fringe. Calling anything fringe boxes you in to this 2 dimensional scale of left and right and being a sensible "in the middle" person is such a fence sitting non position. Being in "the middle" also means you're 100% pro war and pro growing government and spending, etc. The whole left right thing is dumb AF, they pick a couple cultural issues, use the media to divide everyone up on these issues that shouldn't even be discussed by the federal government and boom they have a uniparty they can play off each other as these big differences. Meanwhile all the big topics a federal government has control of they're in lockstep on. Ohh maybe one team wants to send Ukraine 200 billion of our money and the other team, the sensible team only wants to send them 180 billion. Those aren't 2 legitimate choices that's just one fucking choice. The "middle" ones are equally complicit and they're only more cowardice as they're just trying to fly low. Maga isn't fringe either, you think Trump is far right GTFO of here he is nothing of the sort. They're all pro establishment. We are so far from our founder's framework that people don't even recognize it. Case on point you and your middle vs "fringe". We went to war over a 3 cent tax on tea, that wasn't fringe, that was the definition of being based. You use this framework they make up and they set the parameters to and you being a civilized sensible person want to feel decent so you're a middle person. That's just a person with no values because when they move the goalposts which they always do, your middle position moves too. Your old middle position might now be "fringe" (Obama and Hillary positions on illegal immigration and also on gay marriage, not that long ago! Would both be considered fringe/extremist today) and in compliance with not wanting to be a problematic fringe person, you better change your values now. It's the definition of being herded or part of a flock etc. No actual principles, just status quo, don't rock the boat.
