The Girls did Vietnamese. My Son just ate the rice.

And I made a Sandwich with my overpriced Boars Head coldcuts.   :lol2:

Yup love AM chop Suey.

start at 1:40 for people who don’t know what it is.

Nicole's family calls American Chop Suey goulash. When I think of goulash I think of Hungarian goulash.

The funny thing of course is that Chinese Chop Suey is American.  The whole idea of it doesn't work in Chinese cooking.  And yes, goulash does NOT have any noodles in it.  Not even close.

Perhaps they didn't want to call it hamburger helper...lol.

Food names are definitely regional. I grew up in New Hampshire calling Shepherds Pie Chinese Pie. That's what it was in grammar school when it was on the menu, Chinese Pie. Nicole grew up one state over in Vermont, and calls it Shepard's Pie.

@Bontz mentioned pecan smoked frozen wings from Wally world in the air fryer thread.... they were pretty good, baked in the oven on a baking sheet, next time I'll bake them on a cooking rack on top of the baking sheet, I don't own an air fryer

Pecan Smoked Chicken Wings, 2.75 lb (Frozen)

What a dumb name for that dish. More like american goulash or noodle chili.

Looks good though. :bc:
