Considering how much snow and overall traffic Michigan has seen the past few years, $65 is still a bargain 👍🏻
  2. Damn!!! I hope, for your sake at least, you're right hand dominant - assuming the pics are correct, and it's your left hand that got messed up. Regardless of dexterity - I hope you can make a good recovery and get back to 100% or very close to it.
  3. Why - you want me to copy and paste (your specialty!) an image of the Memorial Day post you edited, where you removed the image/meme and asked if Doug and others who were criticizing you if they were happy after you edited/deleted it? You are such a pathetic LOOOZER. Maybe take your own advice and STFU for a while.
  4. Congrats ... you sucked me in and got me to post something on this site in a long while. You clearly knew what you did, so you went back and edited that post to remove what we all said was a pussy-assed, bullshit meme (an outdated one at that). Maybe we can have one of the admins go find the unedited post and prove what a pathetic LOOOZER you are. Meh - like we need proof of that post. You do it everyday
  5. The AXYS lights were fantastic, no doubt! But yeah, the Matryx went backwards and are really disappointing.
  6. The Matryx headlights are pretty awful, so there is a legit reason for the punch (or flood) lights. That said, I do turn them off and use my dims at night when there's oncoming traffic. I don't know if the '27 lineup has improved lighting, or not, but that is hopefully a focus area for Polaris going into the new chassis / model design. Then again, when they can charge $400 for the auxilary lights, and people are buying them, I guess I can't blame them for making some extra coin 😏
  7. Nice! Did you upgrade the gauge to the G8, or staying with the Atari 2600 version? I've got 4 guys in our group with new '25 and '26 models and 2 of them have the G8. Damn, that's a nice gauge! The other buddy has the NS1 gauge, which also works really well. The other ... insert the PONG audio (it works though).
  8. The Matryx and Catalyst chassis are very similar, so I'm certain you'll like the new SnoPro ... congrats! The one thing I noticed when I've ridden the two different 858's in our group is, the Cat still has way more vibration than the Polaris. Handling, though, is good ... Cat handling has never been a complaint in my book. I still like my Assault Boost better though LOL 😆
  9. You haven't run into one of the guys in our rinding group, apparently. He bought a '25 858 last year, and it plagued him most of the season with codes and being forced to ride in limp mode. I think he had it in the shop at least 3 times? Fast forward to this season, we were in the U.P. and we made it to Houghton on Day 1 ... had breakfast, and as soon as we were getting ready to head north it threw the code again. Pissed off, he headed over to M&M to have them look at it - and was so pissed off he was debating on just dumping it and finding a new sled. He told us to just go, and he would either limp it back to Krupp's, or he'd be on a new sled and would meet us later in the day. Fast forward 4 hours, we met him right back in Houghton, and he was on a new '26 858 ZR! LOL Well, go figure, the next day we're heading out for a south loop and about 10 minutes into the ride ... HE POPPED THE SAME EXACT CODE. We were joking within our group, "Does Dave have a sidearm on him, because if he does I'm going nowhere near him!" He ended up limping the new sled back to the resort, threw it on his trailer and headed back to M&M in Houghton. They got it fixed this time - something to do with the APV's and the servo motor, and the bracket they're mounted on? Needing to be adjusted (bent) properly. Thankfully the sled hasn't skpped a beat since then, and he's racked up 1800 miles this season. So, nope - you're not alone @soeaster
  10. @f7ben - I didn't back read this thread, so if I'm already saying something you know ... my bad. The biggest issue on the 2023 was the oil pump and the oil leak issue that a lot of guys talked about. Beyond that, I know there was a fuel line recall but not sure if that was a legit issue or a CYA thing for EPA reasons. The map on the 2023 is probably the weakest of all years - they really cleaned it up and got it right the past couple years. If you're willing to wait until the end of season, I'll have my '26 ready to sell 😆
  11. Ran into them both last year, at Boondocker's. I was thinking they were actually in their 80's? They get out and ride, that's for sure.
  12. Just to confirm ... '22 XCR 650, right? No other accessories on it? Lighted handguards, other plug and play stuff, etc? I'm guessing just electric start, the heated shield, and 7S and heated grips/thumb warmers. I want to make sure I'm giving my buddy all the details I can.
  13. @X2700 - I put on a quick 35'ish miles, running from the Staehli Park area up towards County 5 and then looped over towards County 15 and down through Wohlers and up County 2. Then took the left to head back towards Lake City and ran the ditch to my buddy's place on County 9. It was damn near perfect - the LC (or Bellechester?) club groomed and I was the first tracks on it ... riding the ribbon!!! I left my buddy's place and decided to try the "old route" down through the quarry and along County 9 to Lake City ... glad I did, just for the fact it proved it can be done. I ran the trail to the point of where it's closed, and then ran the ditch to the grade school & over towards the pool ... then the road around the dog kennel to connect back on the trail where it intersects with Hwy 63. Thought I'd share that with you in case you wanted to come into town that way for a gas stop, or at least an easier route into town vs. the roundabout way.
  14. I'd be pissed too ... I just wish I could explain WTF is going on because that isn't the norm. Is there a fuse that needs to be replaced and under-amp'd? I have punch lights and the heated shield plug - no issues on mine. I will send a text to my buddy who's a service manager at a Polaris dealer & see if he can offer any advice. Stay tuned ...
  15. I haven't noticed it (yet) ... the flickering that is. The highbeam issues, I do remember that where you had to blip the throttle or running the sled for the highbeams to come on - with my AXYS sleds. Guess I'll have to pay closer attention tonight, or next week when we're out riding. I'm confident that while you're riding and wanting to actually use the punch lights, you're going to love them @Kivalo . And you'll be amazed at the difference switching between high beams (with the punch lights) and going to low beams. It's crazy how poor the low beams appear to be.
  16. I have run them for a couple years now, on two different sleds and they've been fantastic. What did you use for instructions? The video Polaris has out there is a good one to reference, if you didn't use it already. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/3nUooJpQVO0 Is the power plug that you had to unwrap the tap & uncap - everything is good there / seated and clipped in properly?
  17. Well, I'm not saying I WOULD cross today, but the thought has crossed my mind ... and I'd like to do what we did a few years ago by riding from here up towards Hayward/Winter to stay at the cabin (and my buddy could drive us back home - or pick us up - if it's not great).
  18. I looked this morning & couldn’t see tracks yet … but it wasn’t quite daylight yet. Gotta be damn close to being rideable to Stockholm. The bigger question is, what’s open & rideable over there? I haven’t looked at the Travel WI app yet.
  19. We have a "late" New Year's get-together this evening, and if that small section of trail wasn't closed in LC that gets you from Hwy63 to County Road 9, that would be the route I'd take. My buddy's place is out on 9, so thinking about what route I wanna take there. My initial thought was to run into LC and then banzai the ditch along 63 South like others seem to be doing, and connect where the trail crosses by the Wohlers farm at the County 2 intersection. I may drive by the trail into LC on my way home this afternoon just to see what it looks like.
  20. BTW - this was from Sunday-Monday. We gambled on the storm hitting up by Cable, and we lucked out - they picked up 10"-12"+ and it was awesome!
  21. How was the chisel plow just north of Lake City ... where you cross over Territorial Road just north of the golf course and have to run it a while before crossing Staehli Park Road? I'm gonna go for a rip tonight, and trying to decide if I'll head that direction, or go north and take a loop in a different direction. Glad to see you got out and enjoyed the fresh groom that Don and Bobbi laid down yesterday! 👍🏻
  22. It's not a cheap sport by any means, and to buy new (high end models) isn't an easy task if you don't have disposable income ... or, God forbid, willing to take out a loan. FWIW - one of our club members just picked up a new/holdover sled for his wife at M&M in Minnesota, and they sold 98 sleds in the past couple weeks. So, that's a good thing!!
  23. I prefer Polls vs. Poles ... just sayin' 🤣
  24. I wonder how close we were to running into you yesterday? We didn't stop at B-Wells, but we did hit the golf course, Hay Creek and Bellechester. It was awesome to actually ride on our trails vs. being on them in the club SxS and marking/brushing

Oh man ... sorry to hear about your family's tough go and for your nephews/nieces & what they're going through. I don't think anyone here could/would blame you for taking a break to focus on what's really important. As difficult as it may be, stay positive for the kids and be there for each other.
