Got the deck built for the new addition finally. Just need to skirt it. I set the piers for it in November...lol

First I would like to make clear I'm not hear to bash, cut down, or make fun of any manufacturers. I know you all will have something to say, good, bad, or just because. Not here for that. Had a 2008 F-150 I bought new. I never drive my trucks, thanks to my work supplied truck. Babied my f-150, kept her clean and was surprised after 13 years she never developed the ford rust, living in Ohio thats the norm around here. Developed a problem in my motor that I was being told by lot of people that it could get pretty costly to fix it. So 2 of my well trusted mechanic buddies told me, trade it and trade it fast, but don't go to fast, work those stealerships. Did some shopping and well bought a RAM. 2 other buddies have been RAM guys for about 5 years now, they love them. Not sure if its all over or just local, but trucks are going like hotcakes (I think those go fast). Went to local Ford yesterday, 5 Trucks....Chevy 7 trucks, Dodge, 10 Trucks.....Crazy. The local Ford dealer usually has 2-300 in there lot.

The wife and I had a Fleetwood 29ft travel trailer then bought a Fleetwood Triumph 30.5ft 5th. Overall in 20 years we never had any real issues other than a water pump or two and an invertor that was fixed under warranty. We're glamping now on an acre lot we bought and partially cleared. With the two opposite slides in the living room and one in the bedroom we're quite comfy. We're waiting for hydro to put a pole in and hook up to the panel and water we draw from the lake for showers and dishes.

Some of my most fun rides were just spontaneous rides where we just took off with no planning (and improper gear). Maybe an hour or so but damn! Just a blast. Riding 2-3 times a week from the garage is what it’s all about for me. Sometimes just a shake down/tuning run on the power lines or just a run for fun for an hour. I don’t need a 200 mile day to get my fix in for sure.

If only their counselors could have helped.

Trail riding is less than half of my riding time these days so the miles thing really is pointless. Plus it's spread over 4-5 machines. But to me it's not about miles or even hours on the machine it's if at the end of the day I had fun or enjoyed my time out. I could rack up very high miles in a season if that was my goal but I've pounded trails relentlessly for years and I'd say the sport for me has moved beyond just that and I'd rather be doing other things on a sled. I might only do one big dedicated trail day a few times a year now. And it's nice to not have to rely on trail conditions to ride I get a much longer season too.

i think that the old CGR with Ty Norris running it for Trackhouse will be a better spot with Hendrick motor support.
