That paint is 25 years old and I haven't touched it yet. It's that funky shit where it changes 4-5 diff colors depending on the angle. I'm starting on the bottom of the car with all new brakes/lines, gas tank,sending unit fuel pump and lines, stabilizer kits front/back, all new shocks and whatever else. I have all new carpets for the interior then doing all new hoses,vacuum lines etc ,new tires/rims and then getting it painted

I finally got around to doing the brakes over the weekend. I went on Sat to pick up the new calipers and they never got any of their orders delivered so I had to put the old ones back on. Now I have to wait another 2-3 weeks to have the shop to myself for ten days. I'll rip out the interior in the meantime and install all the new carpets

It is an odd deal to see this happening now. On a side note, the proposed tariff rate is still less than it was in 2018. Lumber has such a weird market. It gets priced and sold like a commodity. The build up cycle for inventory is awful long for a commodity item especially in the Canadian harvest system. We saw their 2018 harvest reductions last year in our market. American consumers still kept buying overpriced lumber and ate up the harvest reserves. This will be a long year for those wanting to buy lumber. (Good news for Benmills) The new proposed tariffs are likely to create another short inventory cycle right when we are recovering from the last reduction. Probably more good news for Benmills that stay in business.
