Finally got enough snow in the north woods by me to take a rip around the property. Totally impressed with this 900t engine, far more power and acceleration than I thought it would have. Can't wait to get a couple tanks of gas burned up in it and install my Whalen Speed 180 tune.

This is my 2021 Backcountry Sport 600 EFI. Finally got to stretch its legs yesterday! I like the new motor a lot. I've had a few 600 e-tecs in smaller track lengths (120/129). This my first long track & Gen 4. Also have an older 900 Ace to ride so I'm use to no top end lol! My only complaint so far is the dumb key. I keep trying to start it from the handlebar.

Finally was able to go for a ride from the house here in Island Pond. Took off from the Dale avenue area on trail 114c. Didn't take the pond but there was a shanty out there. Cut through town, there was lots of sleds filling up at the Irving who has changed hands by the way, Bob Dexter no longer owns it or the Lakefront though the new owners are expanding on the Irving to have a takeout window off the back. I continue through the lumber yard decent coverage lots of whippies Maxwell pit area was frozen picked my way up to Dave Page Memorial. Took a right through the off Trail play area over to Trail 114 the one on McConnell Pond road, heading toward Trail 114a 4 Mile square road. The trails that consist of Silvio's road system are awesome plenty of bays from the loggers packing down the trail prior to this last snowfall. Any of the cut trails need more snow there's really not a base and there's some running water still going up over Trail 2000 was gnarly in places but passable. Northeast Kingdom snow blasters groomed as well so you had a connecting trail system by the Poker Palace. Did about 50 MI went back through the lumberyard to my house. It's snowed a couple more inches today and I know that Canaan is out evaluating their trail system and Northeast Kingdom snow blasters along with my club the Brighton snowmobile club are continually working the trails. Drift dusters too have some open trails. They have an open Trail 2001 yet and the 1111s weren't groomed either maybe they are now but yesterday they weren't so that's my report. You can launch from Stone Dam, the State Beach, in town behind Kingdom Market. There's food available at Kingdom grill it replaced the poutine place, very good, and of course Essex House.

Not really a sled but a sled motor. Every single triple ski doo I’ve ever owned has blown up on me. One I bought and the motor blew idling in my yard the day I got it...rebuilt that one ran mint after. Another one I blew up on the lake. Just this weekend the crank bearings went one the Mach 1 I bought to get back on a sled this winter after taking a year off. Should have learned my lesson from the last 2. I must have some triple engine curse or something they seem to all blow up on me. I posted it yesterday and sold the thing in less than 4hrs so that was a plus but now I’m sledless again.

Oh, I realize that they are not much better. But they didn't put up a 47 year established politician like the dems.

I, often of bad behavior and at times too much alcohol agree, keep the Sled/State and General Snowmobile Forum somewhat clean as I'd like to see this place suck every last user away from HCS. More importantly, is there a way to limit @Zambroski so he can only post in the Bada Bing & Georgia forums? That would be really helpful. Again, thanks for giving us Banned HCS'rs a sandbox to shit in.

I guess I did pretty good then. I traded my mint 2002 Polaris Sportsman 700 twin for this 2014 Indy 550 3200 miles(for my wife) and a 2005 Suzuki Vinson 500.

We tried the western up snow lottery last week. Kept at it for about 560 clicks. Early season riding is always interesting and it was no exception this year. Some of the trails were fantastic and a lot were junk. Tons of closed trails too. That was one of the biggest challenges at times. I actually used the GPS with back roads and fire roads being the only option at times. We had barely enough snow at best most of the time. Jumped a lot of mud holes too. The section of trail 8W mentioned by the Gogebic club really was something. We rode a bunch just to see how bad. Mud and scrub would be the key terms. The stickers were about the only thing consistent. There were a ton of riders that gave up in that section and just rode the road. They started handing out tickets as a bonus road rage invitation. I couldn't see if it was cops or DNR handing out the goodies. Had an oddball first time experience at the Houghton bridge. Cams and the board chatter confirmed the bridge was down. We booked rooms out at the tip and headed up for the night. Low and behold, the bridge was down, but the gates were closed. Not a single track on the channel. We had rode a fresh groom down to the bridge so we looked for the groomer tracks to see where he went. They were sitting on the side of a street waiting for a police escort across the bridge. It was interesting talking with the guys running the groomer. They were peeved that the gates were still closed. Nothing they could do either. Cop showed up and he wasn't exactly pleased either. We were all in agreement. They also mentioned the ice was probably not good. Ended up just going across following the groomer on the highway. It snowed a little during the week and conditions improved where they had enough to groom. Still had clangers bouncing off on the grades and the random big buggers around the hills. This was some of the better snow we saw during the week. Normally spend quite a bit of time around the western up. I've seen a lot over the years for conditions. This year is a little odd with some snow all the way across. It isn't much, but it isn't dry ground for miles between the good. Conditions were a little hard on the sleds. Personally, I wouldn't plan a trip in these conditions especially if you want to ride some big miles. It takes too many parts. Buddies kid has the itch and holiday break is really the only shot. Oh well, the kid will learn how to fix sleds too.
