  1. Why not just get over the whole HCS thing and have a 1st annual FreedomSledder ride. Just about everyone here is former HCS, whether they were banned, or left on their own. I've got a shitload of US and Canadian FS stickers that I'll send to whoever runs FS rides

  2. Still great conditions up north. Hopefully they can survive 4-5 days of 40-50 degrees.

  5. I got zero miles in this year, so i feel your pain. But on the plus side, i introduced my nieces to riding on a 72 kitty cat, and they love it. That's better than any riding i could have done

  7. I was there last night. Track had some big holes, a good layout and it was interesting to see it in person for a change. We moved around the track with our beverages to watch from different vantage points. There was a LOT of people there last night from my pov - and a LOT of mud in the parking lot and service driveways. Ishoel is impressive on the track, and seeing that glowing brake rotor make it's way around the track is how we knew where the leader was. not one other Doo had a constantly glowing brake, so it would be interesting to see how he moderates throttle and brake while competing. Or, maybe his brake is always just on enough to keep heat in it 100% of the time. Not sure what kind of can is on his sled but in person it has a different sound than the rest of the Doo's and imo the Doo's are all much louder than the Red & Green sleds. The ladies were fun to watch, and the top contenders are pretty fearless. From a spectator perspective in person it's easier to see the non Pro classes on the track than the Pro's without headlights. Kinda wish ISOC would make them stick some battery powered adhesive lights or something where the headlights normally go to track them easier. @fortune46x is 100% right in that you don't get the same perspective in video footage of the holes between the jumps, or how high and far they are going as you do in person. The big triple on the finish line straight away was fun to watch. Stopped by the $-Cat-$ display, they had an Orange ZR limited, a T-Cat, Blast, Blast M, Riot and two Mountain Sleds - but no ZR RR at an event TRAIL RIDERS might attend? Didn't even bother asking why. They were nice enough to give us a couple magnetic can coozies which was nice and I joked with Greg that his coozy was his reward him for waiting all winter long for his back ordered parts that finally showed up on Wednesday. Had a really good time, we met with Alex who was able to b.s. with us between rounds and also met the drone pilot and thanked him for bringing that great new perspective to our screens for all of us. FWIW - that drone hauls ass! All in all it was a good time on my 51st birthday, and I can see myself going to at least one race a year from this point going forward. Hopefully with less mud and a little more @Zambroski. Those little buggers are nearly as loud as the snow-bikes and just reek of race fuel. The kids were fun to watch.

  13. Thought maybe I'd start a NON-POLITICAL snowmobiling thread We unfortunately live in the North Bay/Parry Sound Region so despite the snowfall and great trails our time was seriously limited. Hopefully we can get a few rides in still. I've got almost as many kilometers on my yard sleds running on the ice and swamps than the trail sleds

  23. I have an aluminum Look Avalanche 7x23 inline. It is definitely a cheaper trailer, but has a lot of nice features for the price I paid. The frame is most definitely aluminum, not steel. It has twin leaf spring axles and isn’t torsion. It pulls great and has all LED interior and exterior lights, fuel doors, brakes on both sets of axles & pretty sweet rims, loading lights on front and back. I’ve had mine for 4 years and no problems.

  24. I'm for the holiday. Vehemently opposed to automatic registration, mailing ballots unsolicited, ballot harvesting, and ID-free voting. Until we have a sound validation process, no election will be trusted anymore. Too much doubt sown on both sides.

  27. I belong to a high school group and alot from the area we grew up in are on the group. We live a couple hours north of the city and we have two neighbours that live on our street that grew up in our area. There is at least 20 high school friends living within 10-20 minutes from our place. I guess it's a small world and once this covid shit is over were having a little reunion

  29. It’s 100% a virtue signal even though around here the staunch pro maskers are fairly rare, they’re typically low IQ people who are actually pieces of shit. They just want to look and feel good over token gestures, like screaming “help the poor” but actually doing nothing

  30. Wearing a mask, and especially posting pics wearing it, have become a weirdly self righteous badge of honor for liberals Look, if you are generally concerned or, are susceptible to any flu like malady, I get it...and I'm fine with it. This is just absurd though.

  32. I know, right? Isn’t it fucking crazy? And to think that a year ago, I was sitting in my buddys cabin in the UP, sipping coffee, getting ready to go out for a ride and reading about this China flu in the news. Now, a year later, I mean, holy hell.

  33. Last week, some of my in-laws neighbors pulled up while we were out doing yardwork to give their delayed condolences. We were all outside and they had masks on and kept their distance as they muffled their words along the conversation. All I could think was, at least I don't have to shake their hands. When they finally fucking left, my wife asked me, "What were their names again?" I quickly responded, "Who fucking cares." BTW: Two of my biggest "pet peeves": 1,) Trying to talk to me while I'm in the bathroom 2.) Stopping by to fucking chat when you see me out in the yard busting my ass trying to get something done. WTF?

  36. So we are clear Trump's job was national not state......a better question is how was the national level response going to be effective if the states (New York in this case) did not provide correct data even going so far as to falsify numbers. I think you missed the part where genetically the strain that ended up in several other states came directly from New York. So not only did Cuomo's policy kill citizens in his own state but may have also lead to the spread in other states. We are talking about the unnecessary death of what could be 8 to 10 thousand people and your only concern is how it affects Trump's optics? When are the adults in your party going to have a talk with Cuomo about his resignation? P.S. In a few years when Cuomo is indicted the media can give the trial a good leaving alone but first they must do their job when it comes to public safety and in this case they have failed on an epic level.

  37. if we can build the brand forums here, and get contributors to start posting... this place could work. irl to Cat there's a bunch of us with Sno Pro knowledge, and you're now the resident Prowler guru. Tommy is here for the Turbo-tards... but, some people just know HCS and will stick with that. can't imagine being a dealer and only having Cat as your sole sled/atv/utv/sxs brand right now - where's Krom? imo their five year plan is to retire or gtfo before the ship sinks, and the band is warming up on the top deck
