looking good, will be a nice bright kitchen with all those windows, and you can still see the pool out the side. Nice job

That’s her plan. See the pool from the kitchen. Windows will meet the counter top, no backsplash.

the large opening will be a 4 pane slider that goes on to a deck.

Wife thinks uppers are a waste.

Those sliders are really nice.  Post a pic once they're in.

These were hanging out in my back yard tonight. The wife rolled up a few mins ago and sent these to me.

We have a pair that are bedding down in the brush behind the house. The driveway alarm goes off every night when they're coming back and in the mornings when they're leaving lol

The addition got moving again yesterday. The fireplace is finished. Demolition work got started in the kitchen. Electrician is coming today to move the light switches and what not to new locations. The custom beam will be next. We want to continue a cathedral ceiling into the addition.

That is getting popular.  We did a 8ftx23tall window/backslash with uppers over it . last yr pretty cool .

I am thinking about doing a post less corner window/backslash in my new barn/house . My only concern is if it will look goofy with the 12 inch thick walls . Even if I put glass all the way to the inside

You doing real beams or the foam ones ?

We have done a few jobs with the foam ones in the last few yrs . Best part is well weight but also how long you can get em . We got 8 last yr 53feet each no joints . Hard to tell the diff from 2 feet away

The beam I'm referring to is the one that will support the original wall/roof of the house. The addition will have a cathedral ceiling so they are building a temporary support then an inverted V shaped steel beam will be welded on site. Then they are framing/drywalling around it.

No one is a 100% sure how its going to look in the end but we are making things work as we go.
