I carry the leatherman wave+, I have used the warranty twice and they asked no questions either time and fixed it properly so there's that. But I did need it twice. So far its been a good daily carry item when I;m at sea. My only real complaint is the same complaint I have with all multitools, the blade steel is your basic 440c stainless. When you cut a lot of line or other fibrous material it will dull quickly. But like I said, all brands of multitools are like that. Rumor has that Leatherman is coming out with something called the ARC and its going to have a knife blade made from Magnacut steel, which is super high end knife steel. The only drawbacks are this will be expensive, almost $200 probably, and secondly as far as I know its still in the design phase or possibly even still just a rumor. If it get produced I will have one for sure. I also like the look of those Free models, they look like a great choice and will i the running when purchase time comes along.
