Got out for the first shake down ride of a whopping 15-20 kms around my home. Ditch banging, farm fields, frozen ponds/lakes. I switched sleds as the wife is at work and I wanted to make sure they are both good lol. The joys of working 4/10's. The Dragon seems to be running decent. It is definitely a rough ride. Could be that the shocks are set to stiff or poor set-up in general as I have never really set a sled up. 14 years of riding and I usually jack up the shocks (6'3"/220lbs) and send it. But I am getting old and not enjoying that as much as I used to lol. It still has no top end even though I am hitting 8150rpm. The Crossfire is such a nice trail sled. It handles so well and it absolutely kills my dragon in the speed department. I am very pleased with it.

I can't remember but it was about 5-6 years ago when I found an old check book box full of jets and wrenches in one of my drawers.....I took it out, opened it up and reminisced about all those old times. It hit the bottom of my trash can with a "thud". Never again.

I payed very well as I get paid very well, I'm more than double /hr labor rate as my competitors in my area.. Good story for you, Going way back when I got started..Had a buddy working for me, so we were a 2 man crew..One day he says to me, hey I was talking to my roommate, and you make a lot more money than I do, we go out for 3 hours I make $150 and you make $600.. He says, I think we should split the money 50/50..I say yeah, and I actually laughed because I thought he was joking, in no way could someone be this out of touch with the reality of what I have going on..But he was serious apparently and he got a little heated..So I said to him I would be more than happy to split the profits 50/50 with you..But it's going to require you to do "X" as this is what I do behind the scenes that you don't think about, and you are now going to need to come up with "X" dollars as that is half of what I have invested.. Needless to say he never worked for me again and we have not spoken.. He was jealous and wanted half of a profitable business handed to him without any effort or expenses on his part.................

@Bontz Merry Christmas to me? My dealer has 2 different VR1's that are in transit that need a new home. They are not what I ordered, but close enough. :-) He says that they could arrive at any time, and says that I could take delivery as early as next week. The big question is whether they will arrive complete or not....

What I heard...through 8 mouths perhaps...was that it was bought by a guy in Texas. He got out of the slip expense and got a quote to get it to the river to drive home. Bid was $80k so he sold it cheap. New owner didn't have a plan and started to work on said trailer, but too late in the year. Yep. It was parked in Excelsior, right by the Maynards flag on the map (lower right). I had some drinks on it in 2002? As for how much longer it had been there I am not sure. It was registered as a charter as well. Exceeds the length limit on the lake for non-charters. Wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with it. From the water line up it has always been a clean maintained craft. It's best angle is from behind or the inside though as it is not a looker.
