Platinum Contributing Member Blackstar Posted December 20, 2020 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted December 20, 2020 (edited) This buck is becoming a regular at the backyard feeder. He comes pretty much every night. Thats a buddy of mine and myself checking the feeder and the field around 8:30. He came to eat about an hour later. I walked from my house to my shop and he and I were eye to eye about 80 feet apart. That’s him staring at me in the second pick.He took off after a minute or so. He came back to finish dinner at midnight in the fog. He was here for 20 minutes. He ate everything I had on the ground. He ate a bit from the feeder but he doesn’t like to. I buddy says the deer don’t like to eat with there head inside something. They prefer to eat off the ground as it gives them better peripheral vision. Guess he is right. Strange, the does never come to eat here any more. I see them out in the field but the don’t come to the feeder. Do bucks control the eating areas of the herd? I’m think about trying to collect his sheds. Anyone ever set up a shed fence? Edited December 20, 2020 by Blackstar
