  1. Im sitting here at George Bush International Airport in Houston waiting on my flight back to Vegas and my phone rings. A CanAm team was looking for a pit crew to work the remote pit. Somehow my name came up. Of course I said yes. The race is tomorrow morning. The Parker 225 is a big SxS off road race through the desert. Ten, 22+ mile laps. Parker AZ is about 25 miles south of Havasu. This team is a Pro Unlimited team running a full custom Turbo Maverick. Probably close to $125k to build and race a buggy like this Big Stinky Dave is down toward Quartsite. Im gonna give him a call and see if he wants to come up and help. Looks like I will be responsible for refueling and the clutch/belt. If Dave shows up I’ll get someone to take a picture of us in our Pit attire. We will look like Danny and Arnold in Twins. I’m pretty excited.

  5. Congressman Brian Mast, a Republican from Florida, accused his Democratic colleagues of being cowards for their weak-kneed reaction to the killing of Iranian terror-master Qasem Soleimani. Mast made his comments on the House floor Thursday during the debate over the "war powers act resolution." The Democrats passed the resolution, arguing Trump didn't have the authority to order the missile strike taking out Soleimani and another top terrorist in Iraq. Mast served in an ordnance detail in Afghanistan and lost his legs while trying to clear a roadside bomb. Soleimani's IRGC and Quds Force orchestrated the building of many of those bombs. They were responsible for killing 603 U.S. troops and wounding hundreds, if not thousands, of others. The congressman walked forcefully to the podium, his prosthetic legs exposed, took a second to tune his verbal flame-thrower, and then put the Democrats on blast. I know most in here haven't seen or smelled or touched that kind of death, but let me tell you about it. They were burned alive inside their Humvees. Their lungs were scorched by the flames of the explosions. The vehicle fragments were blown into their skulls. Some of them were paralyzed. Some of them had their arms blown off. Some of them had their legs blown off. Some of them will never see again. Some of them will never be recognized again by those who knew them previously. Each and every one of them – they are the credible explanation for deleting this terrorist target from our world. And, no doubt, it is dangerous to take out a terrorist target, but a coward is somebody who lacks the courage to endure danger" [Emphasis added] He wasn't done yet. And this is the fundamental difference in voting yes or no here. If you vote no you understand that we would be justified to kill 100 Soleimanis for just one of our heroes, that have been killed by him. And the danger would be worth it. For those who vote yes, they see that he has killed hundreds of our service members but still can no find the justification to kill him because, unlike our fallen heroes, they lack the courage to endure danger" [Emphasis added]

  8. I agree. The opposite in fact. The outrage should be at the lie we’ve done everything protecting “freedom”. 90% of what our military does is protect interests, not freedom. Of those interests only some benefits us slaves. This is a good start in ending the lie. We were going into Saudi regardless, about time somebody else pays.

  10. Iraq can ask us to leave...and we should...IMMEDIATELY! I've always been 100% for leaving those fucking slimey, tribal muslim pigs to fight it out between them. What we "win"? We get cheap oil and minerals....and access to futures. Yes, this is indeed a benefit to all Americans BUT, I don't believe for a second our DC politicians aren't filling their pockets first..and foremost. Oil and minerals...yes, that's what this has always been about. Our "spreading freedom and democracy" is good...sure, but that's not what these fucking heathens want or are used to having. It's not in their make up or religion....or brains to see it's a better way of life. Let them burn under the tyrants that knock each other off as they've done for millenia.

They don’t like how that rack of fur coats are attained but, they sure line up to try on their fair share to take home. If they don’t like it, they can enact sanctions on us. Until that happens, let’s just realize they really like that nice fur.

  14. So let me get this straight. Our allies were with us when Obama used strike after strike killing thousands including 100's of innocent civilians but when Trump kills a couple of the worlds worst terrorists and no innocent people are killed the so called allies are against it? Doesn't sound much like allies to me....I'd say cowards is a better description.

  27. Climate is always changing.....doesn't mean mans impact is significant. I've not seen one thing to convince me man is the majority of the cause for changes. We are specs compared to the sun and other natural climate inputs. It bears to reason that since virtually EVERY climate prediction these so called scientists have made has not come true that 1 of 2 things is occurring. 1. Predicting climate over decades is simply a fools errand. Hell local weatherman all were predicting 6-9 inches of snow here last night. We got less than 3. They can barely get the next 12 hours correct much less globally for the next 20-30 years. 2. The predictions are agenda driven by funding and political affiliations. The scientists getting climate predictions most correct don't have an agenda driven by left wing funding.

I could give 2 shits about Iran but I know that my life and probably the lives of everyone you know have never been attacked by Iran and are in no danger of such. So let's not make shit up here okay?

  33. You notice what is absent? A list of specific attacks that caused actual casualties. Plans and plots are not the same as actions. If Iran's malevolent influence was so powerful, we should be able to point to specific attacks and specific casualties. But you will not find those facts in the US State Department report because they do not exist. The statistical annex that details the attacks and the groups responsible reports the following: Not a single group linked to Iran or supported by Iran is identified. Look at the this table from the statistical annex: (bigger) No Hezbollah and no Hamas. If a country is going to "sponsor" terrorism then we should expect to see terrorist attacks. The attacks that are taking place are predominantly from Sunni affiliated groups that have ties to Saudi Arabia, not Iran. The State Department's explanation about Iranian support for terrorism exposes what the real issue is (I am quoting the 2016 report but, if you read the 2017 or 2018 versions there is no significant difference): The United States is upset with Iran because it has thwarted the US covert action in Syria. It was the United States, along with the UK, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, that helped ignite and escalate the civil war in Syria. Why? The Saudis and the Israelis were growing increasingly concerned in 2011 about Iran's spreading influence in the region. And what enabled Iran to do that? We did. When the United States removed Saddam Hussein and destroyed the Baathist movement in Iraq, the Bush Administration thought it was a dandy idea to install Iraqi Shia in positions of leadership. Not one of the key policymakers on the US side of the equation expressed any qualms about the fact that these Iraqi politicians and military personnel had longstanding relationships with Iran, which included financial support. Iran also had a longstanding relationship with Syria. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton decided that if we could eliminate Bashir Assad, the Syrian leader, then we would weaken Iran. This was a policy that many Republicans, most notably John McCain and Lindsey Graham, supported. But the scheme to weaken Iran backfired. Iran, along with Russia, came to the aid of the Government of Syria in full blown counter-insurgency campaign. Iran, the Russians and the Syrian Government were fighting radical Sunni Islamists, many of whom were funded by the Western alliance. Iran's military support for the Government of Syria clearly rankles US policymakers, but it is not “terrorism.” It is pure counter insurgency. Wikipedia offers additional evidence about the true nature of international terrorism. I have reviewed the lists of incidents, which includes the description of the attacks, the perpetrators and the number of casualties for 2016-2018. I have only been able to put the 2016 incidents into a spreadsheet. Here are the actual facts. In 2016 there were seven terrorist attacks that caused at least 100 casualties. All were attributed to ISIL aka the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. Not one was linked to Iran or any group receiving financial support from Iran. There were a total of 1753 terrorist attacks and at least 15,993 deaths during 2016. Here is the monthly breakdown for 2016: January—105 terrorist attacks that caused the deaths of at least 1,351 people. There were no attacks linked to Kata’ib Hizballah, Hamas or Hezbollah. The seven attacks in Israel that left 7 dead were ascribed to a “Palestinian” lone-wolf. February—72 attacks that left 1075 dead. There were no attacks linked to Kata’ib Hizballah, Hamas or Hezbollah. There were seven attacks and 3 dead attributed to “lone-wolf” Palestinians. March—112 attacks leaving at least 778 dead. There were no attacks linked to Kata’ib Hizballah, Hamas or Hezbollah. There were 13 attacks in Israel identified as “lone-wolf” Palestinian. No significant Israeli casualties. April—152 attacks that caused at least 1012 fatalities. There were no attacks linked to Kata’ib Hizballah, Hamas or Hezbollah. May—202 attacks leaving at least 1600 dead. There were no attacks linked to Kata’ib Hizballah, Hamas or Hezbollah. June—187 attacks and at least 1693 fatalities. There were no attacks linked to Kata’ib Hizballah, Hamas or Hezbollah. July—187 attacks with at least 1684 deaths. There were no attacks linked to Kata’ib Hizballah, Hamas or Hezbollah. August—139 terrorist attacks resulting in 1224 dead. There were no attacks linked to Kata’ib Hizballah, Hamas or Hezbollah. September—128 terrorist attacks, which caused at least 849 fatalities. There were no attacks linked to Kata’ib Hizballah, Hamas or Hezbollah. October—166 terrorist attacks and at least 2139 deaths. There were no attacks linked to Kata’ib Hizballah, Hamas or Hezbollah. November—153 terrorist attacks that killed at least 1446. There were no attacks linked to Kata’ib Hizballah, Hamas or Hezbollah. December—147 terrorist attacks, which resulted in at least 930 deaths. There were no attacks linked to Kata’ib Hizballah, Hamas or Hezbollah. The US State Department continues to insist that Iran is providing indirect support to Al Qaeda. That is pure nonsense. Iran is fighting and killing Al Qaeda forces inside Syria. They have no ideological affinity with Al Qaeda. I wish the American people would take the time to be educated about the actual nature and extent of "international terrorism." There was a time in the 1980s when Iran was very active in using terrorism as weapon to attack US military and diplomatic targets. But even those attacks were focused in areas where Iran's perceived national interests were at stake. I am not excusing nor endorsing their actions. But I do think we need to understand that terrorism usually has a context. It is not the actions of a mentally ill person who is angry and lashing out at the nearest available target. Those attacks were planned and very calculated. The real issue that we should be focused on is whether or not we can halt the expansion of Iran's influence in the Middle East. This remains a major concern for Israel and Saudi Arabia. US policymakers are betting that isolating Iran diplomatically, ratcheting up economic pressure and using some military power will somehow energize the regime opposition and lead to the overthrow of the Mullahs. We tried that same policy with Cuba. It did not work there and will not likely work now in Iran. Iran has options and is pursuing them aggressively. China and Russia, who are facing their own bullying from the United States, already are helping Iran tweak the the nose of the Trump Administration. In late December 2019, Iran, Russia and China carried out a joint military exercise. The Iranians were very clear about their view of this cooperation: The Trump Administration needs to stop with its infantile ranting and railing about Iran and terrorism. The actual issues surrounding Iran's growing influence in the region have little to do with terrorism. Our policies and actions towards Iran are accelerating their cooperation with China and Russia, not diminishing it. I do not think that serves the long-term interests of the United States or our allies in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia Is one of the biggest sponsors of Terrorism. Money is power though. You know you have power when 16 of your citizens funded by a Saudi cab attack the US and have the US attack two other countries instead of yours. Then when it’s over have Toby Keith come and sing for you.
