If I was an intelligent person that would probably be the route to go but I’m not I guess.

I have no need for a 6.7 or even a diesel really. I only need the truck to last 5 yrs, I want something a bit different (special) than a standard truck. It needs to have a clean interior. I want something for under $20k on the road.

It has to be a Ford. I don’t want a 5.4 or a 6.4.

That leaves me looking at 6.0’s or possibly a 6.2 gas if I have to buy something more modern.

In the end, I prefer the looks of ‘05-07 and I have great parts truck to raid.

So 06-07 F250 Outlaw, Harley, Amarillo packages would be top of the list. King Ranch is possible but I don’t like those interiors once they get beat.

Find a v10.

P-47 - in case you are bored, this is the turbo supercharger system in the P-47. Many aircraft engines used mechanically driven superchargers, often connected directly to the crankshaft, with multiple compressor stages and two-speed transmissions. Conversely, some designs incorporated turbo-superchargers, powered by exhaust gas pressure. Turbo-superchargers, having numerous advantages, didn't require direct coupling to the engine. For instance, the turbocharger in the Republic P-47 fighter was a full thirty feet behind the engine, tucked away aft of the pilot in the rear fuselage.

I actually did, but it’s 4 hrs drive away and a 2wd. A 2008 F250 King Ranch with 50k miles on it. Owned by an older couple who pulled a trailer on occasion. Super clean and straight $22k.

My buddy wants me to buy it and make a 4wd using my F250 driveline parts.

He says it’s a lot of work but I could pull 95% of the parts from my ‘07.

I just do not have the time to go look right now.

That's what I would do. Offer them 18k. You could probably get it for 20k.

Got to try out my new to me saws. Work great. The Jonsered is a ripper for it's size.

The 044 is a beast, but I can't lean on it like my 268xp.

If you go on YouTube there's some radical guys on there with big bore kits, porting and polishing details and saws on dyno's.  Took a Husqvarna 345 that was getting tired and update with a ported 346 kit a guy sells.  Big difference between that one and a stock 345 I have.

NINETEEN YEARS OLD! Lieutenant Edwin "Lucky" Wright, age 19, with the flak-damaged propellor of his P-47 Thunderbolt, Oct. 1944. He had just returned from his 39th mission over Munster. This is the 6th time that he had been hit by flak, hence his nickname https://planehistoria.com/was-it-any-good-the-xp-47h-an-experimental-p-47/

Take the time, go see it, bring an extra driver, and drive it home. They are very rare, so if that is what you really want, make time and get it while it is available. I,m guessing you could buy it for 20K.

I asked myself that question a few years ago, had a few odd balls like you - down to 2 Stihl's:  031AV (With a parts saw) and a 056 Super - plenty of saw in both.
