My buddy sells insurance, owns a golf course, and used to be a pro golfer. He’s not much of a wrench but insisted on studding his own sled. Told him he could use my garage and I’d have his back on the process. My old mechanic hands hurt even just watching now. But he did it.

I had the Golf Channel on for him and had an extra Delrin washer so I added it into his Boss secondary.

I’m switching to an Ultimax belt them I’m ready with mine.

Technically it’s his garage.

I’m renting this place from him for now. Gotta sweet deal until we bail to Wisconsin. :bc:

You still have kids in high school? We’re done in the spring. Opens up some options for sure.

Ahhhh got ya...either way it's nice!  I posted in the weekend thread about having a friend of mine bring his clutch puller to the shop and help me swap primaries on my sled and he also showed how to pull it apart, change weights, etc....all these years of riding and I had never done it. Sounds simple to most here but it was cool to see how it's done.

My Polaris has made if from grand marais to grand portage in a few hours absolutely hauling the mail. Ain’t no thang

to be honest the last sled I’d want to be on past devils track is a cat.

Actually probably best to best on a Doo so you can carry a few extra gallons of fuel while the etec sips away all day.

Me, if I'm hauling the mail from Grand Marais to Grand Portage, I'm heading straight for fuel at the casino!

My buddy and I stayed there a few years back. It was great, their breakfast is phenomenal

Looks good.

I just unloaded my son's XLT from the trailer. I will give it a bit of a going over but it won't need much other than adding the permit and license sticker as it was only out 2-3 times last year.

My Vector needs a new battery as my current Yuasa one won't hold a charge above 12.20. I also broke the nipple off the side panel where it goes into a rubber grommet. :wall: When I purchased the sled, the previous owner must have missed the hole and tried to force it on as it was a whitish color on the one side. I got lucky being careful all these years but it finally let go on me when I removed the panel a few days ago. I took the side panel and the nipple to a guy who does plastic welding. He said he will reinforce it but I still don't think it will hold up long? I may shave/sand the nipple down a bit and apply some white lithium to it in hopes that helps but I'm not feeling strongly about it.

Just got the primary buttoned up and back on the sled...new 66 gram weights and new spring...ready to rip. Have a set of decent 10-60 weights if anybody is looking.

you went from 60  to 66 grams?

Finished up the alignment this afternoon.  Washed and waxed everything.  All ready to go pending a new scratcher.

The pieces at the top that keep the scratcher up when not in use are plastic and they break off.  Can't buy them separately and they force you to get another whole kit.  The tunnel mounted ones are better.   And they have carbide tips in the ends that you can replace when they get worn down.

I have never had luck with replacable tips . or worthless cabe scratchers . and again we are talking less than 100 bucks . can't watch frogs fuck for 100 bucks .

My buddy has them in his '17. They replaced them once for free, but told him if they break again, he's not getting any more.  I made him something better out of some stainless steel 3/8 bolts and nuts.

I have the Doo tunnel mounted ones on my '17 Renegade.  Never had any issues with them.
