  1. A good guy to follow on topics related to nuclear reactors is Michael Shellenberger. According to him, the fire is at an administration building nowhere near the reactors. The reactors are Gen III with containment vessels. It sounds like these reactors still use water for cooling, but everything is protected much better than Chernobyl (which I think was first Gen nuclear) or Fukushima (which was Gen II nuclear). It would take weeks for an actual meltdown if the cooling systems shut down, meaning that there would be time to start everything back up. It is possible to rupture a containment vessel with a large enough cannon or bomb. However, probably the biggest danger is to workers who may be injured in any fighting that takes place when/if the Russians move in to capture the facility. The Ukrainians are massively exaggerating the situation. I don't think we can trust anything claimed by either side. I still think Putin's days are numbered if he keeps this up. Opposition is mounting and the Democrats might actually see what a real coup looks like.

  3. Funny listening to all the would be war strategists here. Putin is not going to stop at ukraine, he is going for the world. No he isn't. He is taking the Nazi regime out of Ukraine, that is what he said, that is what his goal is. His end game may well be to install a russia leaning leadership and why wouldn't he? Nato has been slowly encroaching on him under the guise of him being the enemy. Whoever posted saying has he ever threatened a western country, or Nato directly was absolutely right, he hasn't. He is not stupid or crazy, he is a trained KGB intelligence agent. Not stupid, and knows more about war and politics than any motherfucker here. Period. He told everyone to stay out of his business, like the USA does to many also. I have acquaintances in Russia and Ukraine and both say the western news media is ramping up the wrong stories, you are all a victim of western propaganda again. How does it feel to be duped again? For 8 years the Ukrainian government has been participating in the genocide of many Ukrainians and Russians, to the blind eyes of the world. Self proclaimed Neo Nazi group is the front line military in Ukraine. Do some fucking research. Fuck me.... Now to address an attack on Russia, Nato is not going to attack him, they are not going to attack the second most powerful army in the world, backed by the chinese and Iran and Korea. They won't. If you think this, you are on glue and there is no hope for you. The most powerful Nukes in the world. USA with all due respect has lost every war in the last 50 years. They are not going to test Russia. GET away from the news, talk to people, get a clue for fucks sake. AAARRRGGGHHH Here is some free info for you, when germany surrendered in the second world war, Ukraine with it's contingent of Nazi's held out for 6 more months before surrendering. Just FYI The Nazi's want the west and russia to go at it so they can come in and claim what's left.

  10. Had the EU and NATO not tried to plant a flag right on Putin’s porch none of this would be going on. That would be akin to China and Russia trying to make Mexico communist and a Communist proxy. Fuck Russia and fuck NATO and Ukraine too.

Again, if this is retirement life by people who have set themselves up for the perfect retirement setting, I'm working till I die..

  21. Apparently it not one of yours either. First part of your link.. Fewer Americans applied for unemployment benefits last week, reflecting a low number of layoffs across the economy. Jobless claims fell to 215,000 for the week ending February 26, down by 18,000 from the previous week, the Labor Department reported Thursday. It's the lowest weekly level since mid-December, when the Omicron wave pushed up layoffs as businesses closed.

Im from CT ..my state everyone was wearing masks and we still had some of the highest covid numbers in the Country. Same with MA, NY, NJ etc. Masks helped very little if any in the spread. If they are so important why did everyone suddenly abandon masks? My kids no longer need to wear them in school..what changed? Suddenly Covid is over ? What a joke.
