Wow.....records being smashed right and left....all-time highs may be set this week. Ice melting at very fast rate.  Troubling to say the least. Put plenty of sunblock on I recommend SPF...200

Arctic Circle melting away...all-time heat records may fall.

Did the North Pole used to be warm?

Scientists have found something about the North Pole that could send a shiver down Santa's spine: It used to be downright balmy. In fact, 55 million years ago the Arctic was once a lot like Miami, with an average temperature of 74 degrees, alligator ancestors and palm trees, scientists say.May 31, 2006
Was the Arctic once tropical?

Fifty-five million years ago the North Pole was an ice-free zone with tropical temperatures, according to research. A sediment core excavated from 400m (1,300ft) below the seabed of the Arctic Ocean has enabled scientists to delve far back into the region's past.May 31, 2006
When was the last time the Arctic was ice free?

Summary: Recent mapping of a number of raised beach ridges on the north coast of Greenland suggests that the ice cover in the Arctic Ocean was greatly reduced some 6000-7000 years ago. The Arctic Ocean may have been periodically ice free.Oct 20, 2008
According to the science website Our Amazing Planet, Alaska and the polar regions were once hot enough to support flora and fauna as tropical as palm trees and crocodiles.Jul 8, 2011

Oh, I think it's awesome that we are literally seeing it play out before our eyes...... doubt we will see palm trees in Alaska in our lifetimes but the changes are occurring.

Again, pretty cool(pun intended)....that we see warming taking place in our lifetimes....will be interesting to see how we adapt.

The ice melting graph conveniently starts in 1979...if you recall the late 70's were very cold in fact at that time the fear was global cooling

Yeah it’s always the boomers. We went schools without air conditioning or hardly heat. We didn’t have ac in our homes. Families had one car and never really traveled far….but yeah it’s the boomers. ……one outlet in each room…..even in the kitchen you were lucky to have 2……yeah it’s the boomers.

Look in the mirror……your responsible.

New norms with climate change.  Colorado River becomes a trickle or a dry riverbed in Colorado, tropical temps in the Arctic circle and cows tipping over from heat in mild climate areas.
