Lake Mead

I caught this video earlier today in my YT feed. It's dropping fast!

I watched a vid two weeks ago about a little burg in Arizona. A small strip of several houses people bought to retire. Their wells all went dry this year. I really don't see how some of these areas in the SW will survive. Including Vegas.

This is good news. They are finding really cool old stuff and some dead bodies. All of the water is going to fill more importaner man made lakes. Pretty soon flushing the toilet in LV will cost more than a 8 ball. They should move LV to New Orleans. New Orleans has plenty of water. They were more smarter and built below sea level, not in the desert.

Lake Mead is in a very dry area of the USA. Not a shocker that it's drying up.

Has absolutely nothing to do with man made climate change. Deserts are dry.

Damned up rivers are usually wet. :bc:

On a side note, the irony of states like California living on the ocean and going through drought. One would think in the near future that desalination will be cheaper and easy to move water anywhere in the state (region). :dunno:

Desalination uses a lot of energy. The answer to a crisis caused by global warming isnt more global warming.

Drinking water! I think the only thing in the lake itself is brine shrimp but they divert the water before it reaches the lake. There's Willard Bay reservoir on the north end that's fresh water but its low as well

Make the plant fully electric, plenty of that around for dirt cheap.

Climate crisis! We need a tax!

Notice how 30-40 yrs ago it was just droughts, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes and forest fires, and how quickly all those things became global warming/climate crisis's? Anything the Libs/Dems can use to fleece more money out of the pockets of hard working people, they do it. Sad so many sheep have no idea they are being played and robbed by the people they trust.

Well when a single lake provides water for 25 million people and rising its easy to see how it might drop during even average droughts.

Agree on the desalination idea.   I seen a documentary where it takes the same amount of power to supply the capital city of Sacramento to pump water over the mountain to parts of California.
