Yes it is insulated and I have seen some videos of people using them in the winter this one is the 800 watt model but the do make a 1200 model. The bigger 1200 watt would be a nice improvement. The one thing this smoker would work great for is a alto sham or holding oven. Capt.Storm Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Last night I did some country style ribs and a few chicken 1/4's..2.5-3 hours at 250 or so on foil then grilled them at the end..fawking pretty good. At the ribs last night..the chicken tonight.
