  4. Got one of the cooler aws1 sleds, a 92 prowler special. Got some nos shocks for it, an accessory nos low windshield, the accessory plastic skis with green loops. Motor now on bench because I found the stator side crank seal completely smoked so it's getting a full reseal and Suzuki pistons. Big summer project.

  5. Using the cRyobi lime green here. Just the 18v stuff has been adequate for me. Will not go back to gas for a blower or a whip.

  6. I'm just a employee number to my HR and a line on an analyst's spreadsheet that costs too much and needs to be outsourced to a best cost manufacturing site. I'm pretty burned out of the big corporate life, and to be frank, I'm holding my employer hostage for every last cent I can squeeze out of them before they "release me from employment." My job has been posted for 2 years and they can't keep anyone in it for more then a month or two. No worries, they are just getting me some help for my workload. Thursday I was told I had to cut 3% of the workforce on my site, but 2/3rd of those cuts come from departments that report to me, and we don't have the heads to cut. We are struggling as it is. Oh well. 40 hour work weeks and when 4 hits, I'm done. No more late night or early morning Webex's, no more working meetings while I shovel a quick meal down the gullet. And corporate America wonders why moral is at an all time low... The last job didn't turn out much different in the end.

  8. Why would anyone care what he said in 2018, when there's plenty of relevant material from BOTH Trump and Biden, demonstrating their complete lack of POTUS capabilities, now? Too bad Duh-Underground doesn't give you the dementia-laden quotes that Biden provides on a daily basis. I'm sure you'd post those here, too

  9. Not referring to anyone in particular, but rather as a reaction to a general observation across every forum and social media group I'm a part of: The one thing that absolutely boggles my mind is how few people have experience working for large corporations. People love to complain about Textron, and I'm not saying the corporate culture there doesn't suck, but work for any similarly-sized organization and you'll see exactly the same environment. There's nothing unique about them. I have serious concerns about the survival of the brand, but I really don't expect that in the short term, I think we're looking at 5 years out for any concern over its survival, probably closer to 10. Textron saved Arctic Cat and made them profitable. However, there's only one thing Textron cares about - same as thousands of other corporations - and that's money. Corporations are generally only loyal to their employees when it makes financial sense. They gladly let people go, even when they're planning to grow and expand, because they need to show a profit. It doesn't matter who they let go, either - often the most experienced people cost the most money and it's easier to show a short term profit even at the expense of quality. That's how it is. IBM learned a long time ago how to avoid the subject of layoffs while simultaneously riffing people on a large scale at fairly regular intervals. They do it three ways: 1-A high percentage of "employees" are contractors and don't count, 2-If you get laid off, you have to promise not to say how you left the company in order to get any benefits, and 3-All official spokespeople deny it ever happened. IBM is publicly held, but do a search for layoffs and the story gets vague and unverifiable. I'm surprised Textron doesn't do that.

  21. this is some cool shit what they are doing! Humans have 27 degrees. Optimus is going to advance to 22 degrees and will be able to work in a factory enviroment near the same proficiency as humans. https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-optimus-hands-22-degrees-of-freedom-upgrade-2024/ A humanoid robot with hands that have 22 degrees of freedom has the potential to perform tasks with nearly the same proficiency as a human being. Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robot seems poised to receive a significant upgrade later this year. As per a recent comment from CEO Elon Musk, Optimus’ hands will be upgraded to have 22 degrees of freedom (DoF). That’s already very close to a human’s hands, which have 27 degrees of freedom. Tesla released a new video of Optimus in the company’s facilities this weekend. The video featured the humanoid robot performing several tasks in a factory setting, including those that require precise tasks. In a comment about the Optimus video, NVIDIA Sr. Research Manager & Lead of Embodied AI (GEAR Lab) Jim Fan noted that Optimus’ hands are among the best in the industry

  32. bodywork is an art. it takes time to become a good all around body man. but caring is from a young age. leaving shit loose and no concern is just lazy people, and no one checking the quality of the repair is more of the same. i deal with a ton of insurance companies . progressive sucks. i have pretty much thrown them out. refusal to pay for legitimate supplement with all the documents. a lot of times it comes down to the individual adjuster. just like extended warranty , some guys are eager to help, others act like it's their own money

  36. Gerber and Excalibur have becoming the big box stores of body shops. Guy in our club had a body shop with a great reputation and sold out to Gerber. Within a year the crew he had all quit. Every day the manager had a conference call and it was all about getting jobs and pushing them through. They will even move customers cars from one shop to another Gerber shop in a neighboring city just to push product out. Quality and customer service is not a priority.
