Seen this posted on Nascar Nation today and circled is a grade school friend that we always went to races together and stayed in touch with over the years. He got divorced years ago and just packed up said he was moving South and was going to work for Nascar team. He didn't have anything lined up just went. Since then he has worked in the shop for Allen Kulwicki, Richard Childress, Joe Gibbs and Chip Ganassi retiring 2 years ago. He was also on the pit crew know as the Flying Aces as a tire carrier for Earnhardt. As he will tell the story that was before there was a pit road speed limit and drivers were not afraid to scare you. He comes around home a couple times a year and when it does a couple of us guys normally get together to catch a race and catch up.

This country is so fucked up, it's beyond belief. When did we become so infatuated with the need to politicize (and appease) this stuff? Blame it on Bruce Jenner or what??? I mean, a person can barely get through a news cycle without some headline surrounding gender assignment and politically correct ways to not offend people by calling them man, woman, sir, madam, etc. Disney doesn't announce "Ladies & Gentlemen, boys & girls" anymore because they're so fucking woke. Shit, just today I saw passports are now going to be allowed to specify "X" for gender. We're a joke of a country.

At my previous job I had a high deductible plan and an hsa. My young family is healthy mostly and we used very little health care. Also when we did need care we were essentially “paying cash” so we shopped around and found the best pricing. None of that bullshit would need to occur with a national health care plan. Id be open to a hybrid plan where everyone is “given” a high deductible catastrophic care plan from the government which also includes some preventative care. After that people would have HSAs that are subsidized on income. This would give people an incentive to use care responsibly. On top of that people with means would buy secondary more tailored plans to suit their needs and wants and what they can afford. There is a way to considerably better our current system but nobody is interested in that.
